Hi my name is Kathy Driscoll and I've been an artist since I can remember when my dad handed me hammer and nails as a child and I made my first piece of furniture. Throughout my childhood I loved to draw but it wasn't until my freshman year of high school when I realized I could find a future in my passion.
I decided to go to NIU to pursue a photography and advertising degree. However, after a year, I decided to go with my gut and switch my major to art education. In 2005, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Art Education and in 2013 with my Masters of Science in Art Education. I have taught grades pre-k through 12th grade since 2005, with the majority at the high school level. I have a very supportive husband and two beautiful children, Jack and Norah, who keep me on my toes daily. We have a farmette in Clare, IL and finished a bay in one of our outbuildings to serve as my very own studio. Aside from creating work in my free time, I love to share my studio with family, friends, and those who ware looking for an enriching art experience! So excited to spread my love of the creative process. |
